Map of Teton - Location of Past/Present Communities
This map is attempt to show the approximate locations of all present and past Teton County communities. Note that it shows Alta/Pratt, which is across the Wyoming state line but for all intents and purposes has historically been part of the Teton Basin that is otherwise all incorporated in Teton County Idaho. Also note that there is currently a Canyon Creek community in eastern Madison County, but a 1917 map of Teton (2 years after it's formation) shows one on the Teton side of the border roughly where I have it marked on the map below. It's not clear to me at this point whether the map was wrong and these are the same places, or whether one went out of existence and the other began. Further research may give the answer.
